She serves as a sub-committee member of the Massachusetts Autism Commission. Her desire to pursue occupational therapy was born from personal experience with her younger brother, who has Down syndrome. This offered Kim the opportunity to witness and participate in therapies, special needs camps and adaptive activities throughout childhood.
Kim became a board-certified neurofeedback provider in and has since attended the annual Neurofeedback Interchange Conference. Her clinical experience includes training in a variety of therapeutic interventions and techniques.
Elizabeth Health in Lafayette, Indiana in their pediatric outpatient clinic. During this fieldwork experience, she gained knowledge working with children with a variety of diagnoses, including autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, fine motor delay, and more.
There, Brianna gained experience with clients who had varying diagnoses from chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder to traumatic brain injury and stroke. Since her employment at Project CHILLD in DecemberBrianna has continued her education with pediatric occupational therapy by attending various continuing education courses.
Lauren worked as a travel occupational therapist in a variety of settings. Due to her participation in travel therapy, Lauren gained experience working with a vast variety of clients, including individuals with neurological and orthopedic conditions. While pursuing her undergraduate degree she worked at Project SOAR, a residential school for children with severe behavioral, emotional and social disabilities.
After college she moved to Breckenridge, CO and interned for two years at a pediatric OT clinic specializing in sensory integration. Jess has completed continuing education courses on executive function and sensory integration theory and assessment.
She has experience with: During this fieldwork, she gained experience working with adolescents who had varying diagnoses including autism spectrum disorders and anxiety disorders. There she worked with clients who had varying diagnoses including COPD and those in recovery for joint replacements.
She worked for one year in the public school system as a speech-language pathology assistant before beginning graduate school. After settling in the Boston area, she began her career as an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist in the public school setting, treating various articulation, receptive language, expressive language, and nonverbal language disorders.
